I created an original animated short film interpreting The Sandhill Cranes of Nebraska, a poem by Billy Collins, narrated by musician Conor Oberst.
The film was created for For the Birds: The Birdsong Project, an ambitious creative initiative produced by Grammy Award-winning music supervisor Randall Poster in collaboration with the National Audubon Society. Bringing together more than 220 musicians, actors, writers, and visual artists, the project celebrates the beauty of birdsong while raising awareness and support for bird conservation.
My contribution combines original illustration, animation, and visual storytelling to bring Collins's poetry to life through moving imagery. The completed film was also featured by The Birdsong Project on Instagram.
The larger project includes an extensive collection of original music, poetry, and artwork, with proceeds benefiting the National Audubon Society's mission to protect birds and their habitats.
